Current students registered at University of London Federation Member institutions which are not affiliated with BUCS can enter individual BUCS events under the University of London.

If you are a member of a former University of London club (check the list of clubs here) please contact the club captain regarding arrangements for BUCS entry.

If you choose to compete for University of London you cannot compete for your parent institution in any other BUCS sport(s) during the current academic year.  This includes competing in any BUCS leagues, championship events or LUSL.

To find out more about BUCS entry and to confirm if you are eligible please contact the Activities Development Officer (ADO).

To comply with BUCS eligibility regulation 4.1.6 you must be a member of University of London and pay the ‘Union’ subscription which costs £2.00.

You will be required to cover the cost of the entry fee(s) to your chosen BUCS event and will also be responsible for your own travel and accommodation costs.

How to register for University of London membership and pay your fees

1. Contact the Activities Development Officer to confirm your eligibility.
2. Register for an account on the website if you do not already have an account here.
3. Re-validate your account if it has expired here.
4. Contact the Activities Development Officer via this link to confirm your account is active.
5. The ADO will notify you when the membership subscription has been made active and will tell you the time and date for completing your membership purchase.
6. The ADO will also send you a link in order to purchase the BUCS event entry fee.  You will not be able to pay the entry fee until you have purchased the membership subscription.

How to sign up for your chosen BUCS event

1. When you have completed steps 5 and 6 you will then be able to register for your chosen BUCS event on BUCS Play.
2. Remember to choose London as your institution when registering for the event.
3. The Activities Development Officer with authorise your entry on BUCS Play if you have completed the purchase of your membership subscription and entry fee.
