Founded in 2002 by members of the Imperial College Hockey Club as the Purples, the University of London Dragons Ice Hockey Club is one of the top hockey clubs in the UK, consistently producing some of the most competitive and successful teams in the BUIHA! Our A and B teams have seen many memorable, dedicated and elite level players over the years, and continues to welcome new faces every season, helping to grow our trophy cabinet of 14 championship titles. We are also looking to develop new talent, grow and introduce new people to Ice Hockey as a sport in the UK. Our C team welcomes absolute beginners to the sport and provides a dedicated coaching and support network for new players.
A Team
Every season, the Dragons A’s compete more fiercely than any other university team in the country, and have boasted many superb hockey talents on their roster over the years. Dragons A team are the most successful University Ice hockey team in the UK with 4 BUIHA National Championship wins and 6 BUIHA Division 1 Championship titles, proving their superiority over every university team in the UK as recently as 2015 and 2017.

B Team
B Team consist of players with varying levels of experience in the sport, from only a couple seasons to over 10 years experience, many of these players have worked their way up and have been trained by the dragons coaches as development players to earn their place on the team. The Dragons B’s are a hard-skating, winning team who dominate at the top of the BUIHA non-checking divisions.
C Team
Absolute beginners are welcome with the Dragons, as long as they have the desire to learn, and the determination to stick with our fast paced and physical sport! Loan of kit is possible for beginners, and our coaches will help develop your game from the very basics, up to a competitive level, with the opportunity to progress to the B team after one or two seasons. Going into our 4th season for our C team, they have made astounding progress, making the semi-finals for the beginners national tournament in 2017 and the final in 2018. If you've never skated before this is the team for you, we'll have you deking in no time!
Women's Team
We are proud to have our teams open to all ages and genders and currently have women playing on all of teams. As part of our efforts to offer greater oppurtunities to women in ice hockey we offer several extra women's only training sessions throughout the year to have a competitive female only team on our roster and hopefully send this team to BUIHA womens nationals.

Associate Members
Associate Members can join from any other university in London. Those who opt for the half-year membership but are required to pay for the BUIHA registration fee in addition to the membership. This is only needed once and will count for your registration for the entire season.
Jerseys and Socks
If joining for the first time please purchase two jerseys and two pairs of socks. This is a necessity for the team as members are required to wear either a dark or a light jersey in matches.
